White Skies is a British AOR band formed by former Samson / First Strike vocalist Mick White, former Ya Ya guitarist Ray Callcut and former Double Cross / Dante Fox keyboardist Pete Lakin. Shortly before the start of the pandemic in 2020, Mick and Ray (old friends since the eighties) had discussed the idea of writing a pure AOR album entirely in the style of the giants of the genre Journey, Foreigner and Toto. At Lockdown, the writing process began and it was clear from the first few songs that they had a great songwriting partnership. Ray suggested bringing in his longtime bandmate Pete, as the songs needed a talented keyboardist to really take them to the next level. The writing continued over the next year, with the tracks coming out to twelve songs that the three musicians were convinced were the best of the best they had written. The mix was completed in the home studio and this "must have" album for all AOR/Melodic Rock fans now sees the light of day.
