Description

When the progrock formation MARILLION released their 8th and last EMI album Afraid Of Sunlight in 1995, there was more than just criticism. On 1 November 2019 Parlophone takes a look with two different versions of the album
back to the neo-progressive classic. The Afraid Of Sunlight: Deluxe Edition is released as a 4CD/Blue-ray set and as a 5 LP collection.

Both collections start with a new version of Afraid Of Sunlight , remixed this year by Michael Hunter. The CD version also contains the old original mix by album producer Dave Meegan. Both sets include a live recording of MARILLION from the Rotterdam Ahoy-Arena on September 29, 1995, where they recorded the album during the tour.
played.

The Blu-ray presents the album in the original 1995 mix and some new mixes: 48/24 LPCM Stereo Remix, 48/24 DTS5.1 Mix, 48/24 LPCM 5.1 Mix. Videos include interviews with the band discussing the album, a brand new documentary about Afraid Of Sunlight and a promo film about "Beautiful".

Also collected on Blu-Ray are the nine bonus recordings of the remastered edition released in 1999, plus 17 previously unreleased tracks, including studio jams and early versions of Afraid Of Sunlight tracks. like "Beyond You", "King", "Out Of This World" and of course "Beautiful".
