Description

On April 3, Rhino will highlight this neo-prog favorite with two versions of Script For A Jester's Tear: Deluxe Edition. One version consists of a 4-CD/Blu-ray package, the other comes as a high-quality 4-LP collection.

Originally produced by Nick Tauber, Script For A Jester's Tear is the only MARILLION album recorded with Fish (vocals), Steve Rothery (guitar), Pete Trewavas (bass), Mark Kelly (keyboards) and Mick Pointer (drums) in the founding line-up.

Both Deluxe Editions start with a remixed stereo version of Script For A Jester's Tear , made by Andy Bradfield and Avril Mackintosh. There are also new stereo mixes of the B-side "Charting The Single" released in January 1982 and the Market Square EP that followed in October of that year.

The Blu-ray presents a 96k/24-bit version of the new stereo mixes from Script For A Jester's Tear , the Market Square Heroes EP and the Live At The Marquee concert. In addition, there is a 5.1 surround sound remix of Script For A Jester's Tear .
The package is rounded off with a brand new documentary with band interviews about the founding of MARILLION in 1979 in Aylesbury until the release of Script For A Jester's Tear in 1983.
