The new album from Southern rockers, Whiskey Myers.

For the band Whiskey Myers, 2019's self-titled and self-produced album was a watershed moment. Now, after spending 21 days isolated in the 2,300-acre Sonic Ranch studio deep in the heart of their Texas home, just a few miles from the U.S.-Mexico border, the Gold-certified Renegades have focused on what they do best. With "Tornillo," named after the border town and set for release July 29 via their own label, Wiggy Thump Records, the six-piece band has used its solid, decade-plus foundation to explore new sonic landscapes. "Tornillo" as a whole drew inspiration from Nirvana as well as Waylon Jennings - and you can even hear the gospel influence of the legendary McCrary Sisters on background vocals. In addition to Cannon, who is responsible for the songwriting, lead guitarist John Jeffers and his bandmates Jamey Gleaves and Tony Kent, as well as up-and-coming singer/songwriter Aaron Raitiere, also contributed to the album.
