Description

THUNDER celebrates three decades of music and releases this 28-track album with the simple title "The Greatest Hits". After a thirty-year career, the time feels right to look back on what has been achieved, to take stock, but to keep an eye on the horizon and what's yet to come. The Greatest Hits is a comprehensive, coherent and cross-career collection containing material from every single album since its debut Backstreet Symphony, which catapulted her onto the world stage and reached number 21 in the UK charts. This first salvo was followed by Laughing On Judgement Day , which reached number 2 on the UK longplay charts in 1992, and Behind Closed Doors , which was another top 5 hit in 1995. Greatest Hits includes material up to the 2017 album Rip It Up, which reached No. 3 on the charts and Please Remain Seated from 2019. In fact, the last three Thunder albums Wonder Days, Rip It Up and Please Remain Seated have all reached UK Top Ten status on the album charts. The tracks selected for The Greatest Hits perfectly reflect the arc the band has spanned over three decades to evolve, challenge and evolve: without ever losing the core elements that make up THUNDER.
