Description

Motörhead loved to play live for their fans. Everyone was welcome and of course the people who actually love jazz. And when the Montreux Festival requested Motörhead, it somehow made total sense: different, unique, a completely different location, honoring and exciting to be there.

The festival also crossed boundaries with this invitation in terms of the music that gave the festival its name. It may seem daring when you look at the list of artists: besides Dexter Gordon, there was also Deep Purple or ZZ Top and then thunderous, loud Motörhead. Probably this is what gave the festival its attractiveness and made it go down in history.
history and it was rewarded with UNESCO Heritage status in 2013 for adding value to the arts.

This Montreux show was recorded on July 7, 2007 during the 'Kiss Of Death' tour at the legendary Auditorium Stravinski and convinces with the performance of the perfect and potent trio: Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee. And not only with the slightly different setlist but also with the power and the specialness, what made Motörhead legendary and they could prove it live again and again. This concert includes the first official release of their cover of Thin Lizzy's 'Rosalie', a loud, powerful candy in Motörhead style!
