Kansas The Absence of Presence

With a fabulous career for almost five decades, KANSAS is one of the most important classic rock bands in America. The "garage band" from Topeka released their first album in 1974 after being discovered by Wally Gold, who worked for Don Kirshner. KANSAS has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. Currently the band consists of drummer and founding member Phil Erhart, bassist and vocalist Billy Greer, violinist and guitarist David Ragsdale, keyboardist and vocalist Tom Brislin, guitarist Zak Rizvi and founding member and guitarist Richard Williams. Without ever slowing down, Kansas continues to play to large audiences and inspire people all over the world. This summer KANSAS will release their 16th studio album "The Absence of Presence". The wide-ranging progressive rock album, which will be released by InsideOutMusic, follows on from the previous album "The Prelude Implicit", which reached number 14 in Billboard's Top 200 album charts.
