Description

The word monumental isn't even close to strong enough to describe "Omega." On their first new album in five long years, Dutch symphonic metal titans Epica pull out the really big silverware and unleash their biggest, most mind-blowing, amazing work yet. For the first time in many years, they wrote the album together again. As a band.

They came together in a house in the rural idyll of Holland and set up a temporary studio in several rooms. Accordingly, "Omega" is a work of unity, of friendship, an example of the close bond among the members. In the midst of a world in turmoil, an upheaval in society,Epica have miraculously managed to complete their most spectacular album. An album that seamlessly brings together metal, orchestra, choir and oriental instruments to create a tidal wave of pure goosebumps. "Omega" is an album for which scores for orchestra and choir have been specially written, and which features ethnic instruments recorded on location by some of the best Native artists in the world. To make a long story short, they have outdone themselves. Again. And yet still managed to make the songs accessible and almost outrageously catchy.
