Axxis Monster Hero

One of the most established German rock bands is back this year in a monstrous way: AXXIS release their new studio album "Monster Hero" on October 5th. Bernhard Weiß and Harry Oellers are once again making the fusion of well-tried, classical rock numbers with a modern production and a contemporary lyrical processing their trademark and proving that they have not yet told each other anything.

Timeless, earthy - honest rock songs form the sound backdrop of "Monster Hero", which, like its two creative fathers, has both feet firmly on the ground. Our world is shaped by fake news, algorithms, conspiracy theories and times in which politicians tailor the world like wolves in sheep's clothing," frontman Bernhard Weiß explains. "Machines determine our lives and sometimes influence them uncontrollably. Technologies such as drones, self-propelled cars and apps are increasingly shaping our everyday lives. Science, the press and the Enlightenment are increasingly being called into question. Politicians are becoming more radical. Free democracies are suddenly considered to be old schools, dictatorships are courted. Sick, crazy despots celebrate themselves as heroes, but for many they're just monsters." A dichotomy that runs through the entire world, as Bernhard points out. "The same goes for the technology. We love and hate Facebook, Google and at the same time those who are increasingly influencing and controlling our lives. This could take on much greater and more dangerous proportions in the future."
