Riot were founded in 1975 in New York City and recorded "Fire Down Under" (released 1981), one of the most important metal records of all time. However, it had taken five years and two studio albums ("Rock City" from 1977 and "Narita" from 1979) before Riot's success formula

"Riot Archives Vol.1" contains (including alternative mixes) no less than 18 unreleased demo or studio recordings, including tracks like "Sweet Sweet Sweet Felicia", "In Every Way", "Come Back To Me" and "I'm A Marshall°.
