The Bay Area band Vicious Rumors had unknowingly occupied an area of power metal with their technique, which served as a springboard for other bands and would push the boundaries of the genre. 'Welcome To The Ball', their fourth album, was originally released in 1991 on Atlantic Records and contained a collection of superlative tracks, including strong hits such as 'Abandoned', 'Children', 'Mastermind' and 'When Love Comes Down'.
