Guitarist and singer Bobby Bath founded the band in Gainsville, Florida in the late 1970s. Originally called Babyface, after a few years they mutated into Ax and signed with MCA, where they released two albums of pomp/melodic rock before moving to Atco Records and releasing 'Offerring' in 1982. Produced by Al Nalli (Blackfoot, Brownsville Station), this record breathed new life into the band, earning praise for their direct approach and incisive songwriting. Rock Candy finally releases a remaster of the long-out-of-print CD, which has been further enhanced with brand new liner notes and archive images in the booklet.
