The Scottish rock legends of Travis are surprisingly back with the first single "A Ghost" from their upcoming longplayer: The 9th studio album is called 10 Songs and will be released on October 9th via BMG. The album was created at the turn of the year 2019/ 2020 in co-production with Fran and Robin Baynton (Coldplay, Florence & The Machine) in the legendary RAK Studios in London. 10 Songs is about the tension between life and love. And about how love develops in the face of life's challenges. An adult album. Filled with a crackling, overflowing synergy, where many of the songs benefit from an almost blind understanding of each other the deep familiarity of a band whose line-up has not changed since its foundation. Additionally, there are top-class features like the synthesizers of Grandaddy member Jason Lytle, the lap steel guitar of Greg Leisz (Beck, Emmylou Harris, Bruce Springsteen) and vocals by The Bangles singer Susanna Hoffs, which resulted from a mutual exchange on Twitter.
2020 marks the beginning of a new chapter in the equally successful and unwavering career of the Scots: With 10 songs Travis proves once again to be one of the best and most successful songwriting exports of the United Kingdom.
