Scrogge South Side Songs (Lost Melodic Jewels Vol. 5)

-The southern Swedish town of Lund saw three teenagers develop a passion for Hard-Rock that
would escalate as the '80s progressed. Fully forming in the Autumn of '85, SCROOGE immediately
acquired a hunger for North American AOR, with bands like Journey and Toto firmly in their sights.
- Formed by singer "Bax" Fehling and drummer Jaime Salazar, the twos joined Malmo based band
Bad Habit, running both bands in tandem for a while, recording a few very well received demos. As
it came to be, Bad Habit had the record deal with CBS and SCROOGE had to languish in that band's
shadow, still having the same class and potential!
- One thing for certain. SCROOGE certainly had the songs at their disposal, as their music can be
described as a mix of Europe, Treat and - not surprisingly! - Bad Habit.
- The "South Side Songs" Cd includes all the material recorded in the 1986-1993 spanning-career,
11 beautiful (and professionally recorded!) songs, all carefully remastered from the original-tapes,
enriched by a 16-pages rich booklet featuring unseen pics and the complete band-history written
by Hard-Rock specialist Rob Evans and by the band itself!
