Massive Full Throttle

2013, so many albums to hear each year, some are bad, some are good to mediocre and some are simply fantastic. There a few things that can make an album to be fantastic. One is the bands inspiration, second is the bands skills in musicianship, third is the attitude, forth is the place of origin and fifth is the influences. Massive score high rates on all the above topics. First of all, they hail from Australia, so they have a DNA injected with the right rock n roll principles, they are all skilled musicians with the right influences and deliver their music with tones of attitude, while last (but not least) they can write some cool rockin' tunes. Their influences include the likes of Guns n' Roses, Motley Crue and of course AC/DC. But Massive don't hesitate and throw a few Foo Fighters references in the mix just to make things sound more contemporary - and the result is bombastic, filled with enormous choruses, sticky melodies and exploding guitar solos. The 4 piece from Melbourne, Australia go by the moto "MASSIVE will hit you hard and leave you begging for more" and I honestly couldn't agree more. Massive are Brad Marr (Vocals, Guitar) Aidan McGarrigle (Backing Vocals, Bass) Ben Laguda (Vocals, Lead Guitar) and Jarrod Medwin (Ex-THE DEEP END, drums). Another positive surprise from Down Under!
