Long Distance Calling The Flood Inside

2013, In early April 2012 it was mutually decided to part ways with electronic wizard Reimut von Bonn in a nothing but friendly manner. Still, it turned out that it opened up new options for the remaining core of the band. Long Distance Calling had worked with guest-singers before such as John Bush or Jonas Renkse (Katatonia), but they felt their songs were shaping up in a slightly altered manner and gravitating towards a different direction: away from pure instrumental rock. Having recorded a handful of releases that, aside from featuring one song with vocals per album, are completely instrumental, the band has taken on the challenge of adding a vocalist to the band. Singer Martin ´Marsen` Fischer (Pigeon Toe, ex-Fear My Thoughts) has taken on the role of front-man for the group. Common rules are there to be broken anyways. Atmosphere and diversity doesn't come within the parameters of the typical 3:30min song scheme. Still, THE FLOOD INSIDE is a lot more focused and compact than any of its predecessors.
