Description

The fans of superstar Joe Bonamassa have wondered for a long time if there would be a new album of the guitarist and double Grammy winner this year as well. Now the fog is finally clearing and the answer is 'Yes!': "Live at the Sydney Opera House" will be released on 25 October 2019 by the Mascot Label Group on CD, double LP and digital. This ten-track recording of a performance in Australia by the "probably best blues rock guitarist in the world" (Guitar World) in 2016 contains previously unreleased live versions of Bonamassas current number 1 album "Blues of Desperation".

Just like the pyramids in Egypt, the Indian Taj Mahal and the Great Wall of China, the Sydney Opera House is a World Heritage Site. Those who get the opportunity to perform there give their best - this also applies to Joe Bonamassa, of course. And who could be there three years ago, when Bonamassa, supported by his best performing band, celebrated an absolutely memorable gig in the Australian metropolis, raves about it until today. For all those who couldn't, "Live at the Sydney Opera House" is another highlight in Bonamassas career.

Joe Bonamassa is generally considered to be one of the best contemporary live performers ever, and on stage he is considered unbeatable. "Live at the Sydney Opera House" captures the charisma and fire of this man, who has played almost all the famous venues all over the world. Bonamassa has just returned from the sold out "Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea" concert cruise. He is currently preparing another Australian tour, followed by a New Zealand tour, further concerts in the USA are planned for autumn and he will be back in Germany in May 2020.
