Bring On The Music

Description

For exactly a quarter of a century, Gov't Mule has been a rock in the surf for friends of classic Southern rock. Frontman Warren Haynes and the band's constantly changing accompanists during the different phases of the band have stood and stand for a perfect mixture of distinctive riffs, subtle virtuosity and exuberant joy of playing, which is especially reliable on stage. In addition to ten studio albums to date (most recently released: "Revolution Come ... Revolution Go", 2017), the Gov'tMule discography now includes an output of official and semi-official live recordings that is probably only manageable for insiders. It is precisely after these that the fans of the group are like the devil after the soul of love, for Haynes and his comrades-in-arms now draw on a repertoire of over 300 pieces, and it is well known that even on the same tour hardly a Mule concert is like another. To celebrate this year's 25th band anniversary together with the fans and to get a new live release in the box, the current Gov't Mule line-up consisting of Warren Haynes (vocals, guitar), Matt Abts (drums), Danny Louis (keyboards, guitar and vocals) and Jorgen Carlsson (bass) booked the traditional Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York, on April 27th and 28th last year. There the quartet celebrated two brilliant gigs with very different setlists on those days in front of sold out houses.
