Description
First released in 1992, the album *Black Moon* marked the return of Emerson, Lake & Palmer after a fourteen-year hiatus from the studio. With Keith Emerson, Greg Lake, and Carl Palmer, a new era began. The album combines the technical brilliance typical of the band with the leaner production style characteristic of the early 1990s.
This 2017 remastered 2-CD edition presents the original album with enhanced clarity and balance, giving the rhythm section greater punch and allowing Emerson's keyboard playing to stand out more distinctly. Tracks such as the rousing title track "Black Moon" and the melodic "Affairs of the Heart" highlight an album that blends classic prog ambitions with a contemporary rock sensibility.
The second CD expands the set with bonus material--including B-sides and additional recordings from that period--thereby offering a more comprehensive insight into the final studio chapter of ELP. For collectors and longtime fans, this edition represents the most complete and sonically superior version of this landmark late-career work by the band.
This reissue is presented in a 6-panel 2-CD digisleeve and includes a booklet.
