Coreleoni II

He is one of the most genuine and passionate rock musicians of the last 30 years. And yet time has never stopped for Gotthard founding member and guitarist Leo Leoni. CoreLeoni calls this feeling for great, timeless classic rock, for pure music nostalgia, coupled with modern sound. The second album "CoreLeoni II" will be released on September 27th. Besides Gotthard songs from the early era of the band and two own songs, there is also a John Lee Hooker cover for "Boom Boom Boom". Together with Rainbow singer and Lord Of The Black founding and now ex-member Ronnie Romero, with Hena Habegger (drums, Gotthard), Jgor Gianola (guitar, ex-Gotthard/U.D.O./Jorn Lande) and Mila Merker (bass, soulline), Leoni shows that classic rock is far from yesterday. Leoni came up with the idea for CoreLeoni on the occasion of Gotthard's 25th stage anniversary and an associated look at the current setlist of concerts. "With Gotthard himself, many old songs are more and more put on the sidetrack, because there are so many new songs that have to find a place in the setlist live," says Leo. "But many of the old songs are extremely close to my heart and will always be a part of me.
