Arven Black Is The Colour

2013, The Frankfurt based six-peace Arven immediatelly catches your attention with having five ladies in the band accompanied by Till Felden on the drums. On their second album BLACK IS THE COLOUR there is food for those who dig beautiful melodies and symphonic metal with a touch of gothic and medieaval sounds - so the right stuff for all who are into bands like Blind Guardian or Sonata Arctica or fans of female fronted bands like Edenbridge, Epica oder Nightwish. The sound of the band is dominated by the charming vocals of Carina Hanselmann and the virtuous guitar work by main songwriter Anastasia Schmidt. The optics of the band are surely very important. Arven are very active on the live sector and already performed on several festivals in front of different audiences - from medieval markets to gothic festivals to pure heavy metal shows - Arven have something to deliver for all of them and it is especially this variable sound and their great looks promising the band a great future.
