The legendary Yes guitarist Steve Howe will release his new solo album "Love Is" on July 31st via BMG Records. "Love Is" is Howe's first solo album since the instrumental album "Time" (2011) and offers a balanced mixture of five instrumental tracks and five songs with vocals. The album will be released on CD with 12-page booklet and on LP (black vinyl 180gr. in a fold-out cover), each with liner notes and the lyrics. Steve Howe plays electric, acoustic and steel guitar, keyboards, percussion and bass guitar and sings five songs, while Yes singer Jon Davison is responsible for
vocal harmonies and the bass guitar plays on the vocal tracks. The drums were played by Dylan Howe. After many years of making the album "Love Is" presents a sophisticated listening experience. The instrumental pieces offer among other things a progressive rock guitar style, in addition there are songs that tell stories about lived and just started life. "Love Is A River" is the central longer song with several texture shifts, where the theme is played on 12 string and steel guitars. "Love Is" was written and produced by Steve Howe and mixed by Curtis Schwartz.
