With "Weather" Huey Lewis & The News announce their upcoming album. The longplayer will be released on February 14, 2020 and is the first new material since the release of their "Plan B" longplayer in 2001. Like all previous albums since the early 80s, "Weather" was produced by the band themselves, following good old tradition. Unsuspecting that the recording sessions would be abruptly shortened by Menière's disease, diagnosed in 2018 in Huey Lewis (a condition that may one day make it impossible for the musician to sing), Lewis deals with topics such as transience in his very own way: Honest, open, with a confident wink. And accompanied by the same expressive and distinctive soul arrangements that helped the band achieve international superstar status in their day.
After several years on tour "Weather" album, the new songs are now considered one of the best works the band has produced during their decades-long career. No wonder, as the songs are pleasantly reminiscent of hits from the band's golden "Sports" and "Fore!" era (one of the few albums of which five or more songs entered the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100), enriched with blues influences, classic R`N B and even a tiny pinch of country.
So far, the cult formation has sold over 30 million records, won several Grammy Awards and been nominated for an Oscar.
