The story of BLUES PILLS may seem simple. The rock quartet, founded in the Midwest at the end of 2011 by songwriters Zack Anderson and Elin Larsson, went straight from small, crowded, dirty clubs to the stages of the big festivals, such as Download, Rock Am Ring and Wacken. A real success story, isn't it? Not really. Under their thick coat of hard, psychedelic Blues-Rock and the powerful and emotional voice of Elin Larsson, BLUES PILLS were always restlessly searching for change. Changes in spirit and the musical influences they were exposed to, from Blackened Soul to the trippy sound of 60s Garage Rock and Devils Blues. During their break, BLUES PILLS almost went through something like a rebirth. A rebirth, the result of which is the new self-produced album "Holy Moly!", mixed by Grammy winner Andrew Scheps, which will be released on 19.06.2020. If the hardness of their first self-titled album blew you away and the psychedelic vibe of "Lady In Gold" (#1 Germany) fascinated you, then you can't get past the third dose. With the by definition cool bass player, Kristoffer Schander, banana-obsessed drummer André Kvarnström, Elin Larsson's captivating voice and Zack Anderson now on lead guitar, the band returns to their roots.
