When World Trade first appeared on the scene, comparisons were immediately drawn to Yes's golden period of the mid-1980s. The musical content was similar, but as early as 1989 the market was rapidly moving towards what eventually came to be known as grunge. It didn't help either that their record label was undergoing a tumultuous restructuring behind the scenes, leaving the band stranded with very little moral or financial support. Led by guitarist Bruce Gowdy (Stone Fury) and bassist/vocalist Billy Sherwood (now with Yes!), the album was produced by Keith Olsen (Whitesnake, Heart, Foreigner) and features a colorful selection of tracks that evoke comparisons to the late Yes albums '90125' and 'Big Generator'. Songs like 'The Moment Is Here', 'Life Time', 'Fight To Win' and 'Can't Let You Go' laid the foundation for flawless progressive rock that still rings out with stunning clarity.
