Description

The Italian dwarf metal army WIND ROSE returns from the forge and delivers their new album Trollslayer, which will be released on October 4th, 2024 via Napalm Records! The power metallers have not only cracked the million listeners on Spotify, but have also collected several million TikTok views and cemented their status in the scene in recent years!

They had their breakthrough with their mega hit "Diggy Diggy Hole" from the Wintersaga album, which reached over 50 million streams and views on all platforms and echoes across the campsite at every festival. With the follow-up album Warfront, they reached the top 10 of the US Current Hard Rock Charts and the top 25 of the album charts in Germany for the first time. The new album Trollslayer is the perfect mix of absolute party anthems and profound, serious tracks and is released right before the start of the biggest European tour in the band's history together with Powerwolf and Hammerfall.

The instrumental album opener "Ice and Blood" lays the foundation for the album, which is bursting with energy. The following "Dance of the Ashes" picks up the pace and the introductory choruses are enriched with deep growls. The dwarf party gets started with the drinking song "The Great Feast Underground" and "Rock and Stone", inspired by the space dwarf first-person shooter game Deep Rock Galactic. The fast "Home of the Twilight", the restrained "To Be A Dwarf" and the Warhammer-inspired title track "Trollslayer" slow down the pace before the dwarf festival ends with the moving finale "No More Sorrow". WIND ROSE prove that they can do everything from partying to emotionality and that even the mightiest dwarf warrior can be overtaken by loss and deprivation. Trollslayer takes the listener on an unforgettable journey through caves full of metal and captures the epic and medieval spirit of the dwarves.
