U.d.o. We Are One

With "We Are One" U.D.O. presents together with the renowned music corps of the German Federal Armed Forces under the direction of Lieutenant Colonel Christoph Scheibling a musical project never seen before. The album, which is based on 15 completely new songs, was developed and arranged in cooperation between U.D.O. and Christoph Scheibling. The two former Accept comrades-in-arms Stefan Kaufmann and Peter Baltes, as well as the musiccorp's own composers Guido Rennert and Alexander Reuber were also involved in the songwriting. If you think of various rock band meets orchestra attempts to walk, you are way off track. "We Are One" is a lavishly arranged concept album that traces the earthy sound of U.D.O. and proves how strong in character and yet changeable it is. But "We Are One" is not only surprising musically, which also makes a statement with its core statement: It is the critical stocktaking of a world in which we all leave our traces and in which we all have to answer for ourselves in our own way. "We all live on this one planet. No matter who we are, what we do and what our motives are, we all have only this one planet," says Udo Dirkschneider, who developed the idea behind "We Are One".
