The GRAMMY® award-winning Californian rock band SWITCHFOOT are back with their 11th studio album "Native Tongue", which features their typical trademarks, namely the epic Stay true to the soundscapes, but at the same time try out new themes.
With an impressive career spanning more than 20 years, "Native Tongue" is a wonderfully inspiring album that gives insight into the burning passion of a band that finds its strength in the differences of people and hope in what unites us. The 14-song project, recorded mainly at Melody League Studios in SWITCHFOOT's home town of San Diego, covers a broad musical spectrum from the anthemic rock title track to more profound songs such as "Prodigal Soul", "Joy Invincible" and "Voices", which they wrote and produced together with their friend One Republic. SWITCHFOOT combine empathy and self-contemplation in their lyrics and never tire of carrying their positive message out into the world with their music: "use our lungs for love and not the shadows.
