Stone Lake Monolith

2013, In August 1984 guitarist Jan Akesson and singer Peter Grundstrom got to know each other after a mutual concert. Jan played guitar in a band called Ravage and Peter was a singer in a band called Whitelight. Their meeting led to the conclusion of Jans work with Ravage and he became a new member in Whitelight in the fall the same year. The concentration of Whitelight was melodic hardrock and main influence among many where: Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Bad Company, but later on, ´newer` bands such as Whitesnake, Van Halen, Journey and Dokken. In 1987 Jan decided to leave Whitelight and went his own way. He wanted to try his own wings with a tougher; more guitarorientated hardrock. He kept on writing songs and the two guys finally came back together establishing Stonelake. After five albums their new and sixth outcome MONOLITH promises to be the most powerful and matured album by the ambitious Swedes and a must-have for all fans of high-quality hard rock and melodic metal from Scandinavia.
