f you've released nine successful albums - the last, "Unleashed", came 11th in Germany in 2016 - you can give your tenth album the title "Victorious" and call your first single "Legendary". This happened with Skillet who will release their new album on September 13th and delight their fans with the first song already today.
"Victorious describes perfectly how this album makes me feel." comments John Cooper , frontman of the Christian rock band from Memphis, Tennessee. "Every morning you wake up, face your demons and never give up. And resonates with an introspective side. On the previous albums we may have spoken explicitly about the world. This one is about looking inwards. For this purpose, John and his wife, Skillet guitarist and -keyboardist Korey , for the first time also produced most of the songs and extended the electronic hard rock sound of the last album with influences from hip-hop drums and keyboards.
