Australian pop star Rick Springfield, who celebrated the peak of his career in the 1980s, presents his greatest hits in newly recorded orchestral versions. The twelve songs on "Orchestrating My Life", his 17th album, range from "Jessie's Girl" (US #1 hit in 1981) to "Human Touch", "Love Somebody" and "State Of The Heart" to "Celebrate Youth", his biggest hit in Germany (#5 in 1985). Brand new is the song "Irreplaceable", which he dedicated to his recently deceased mother.
