Newman Into The Monsters Playground

Singer/songwriter Steve Newman formed the band Newman in 1997 and since 1998 he has released 13 consistently high-quality albums filled with hook-based songs and thought-provoking lyrics. After the release of the album "Ignition" in March 2020, the band announced a live tour, but as we all know, last year was not a good year for live music. Instead, the band went into the studio and recorded the new album "Into The Monster's Playground". The new album offers more of an "in your face" sound, from the opener "Start This Fire" to the anthemic choruses of "Hurricane Sky" and "Icon," the soulful "Lightning Tree," which then explodes back as rock with "Give Me Tonight" and the title track "The Monsters' Playground." The unmistakable Newman sound - the fine balance between the hard-hitting guitars and the lush keyboards, backed by a powerful backbeat. As the cover suggests, there's definitely a storm coming.
