New Roses Attracted to Danger

"The established German hard rock band THE NEW ROSES will release their new album Attracted To Danger on October 4, 2024 via Napalm Records. The previous album Sweet Poison (2022) climbed to number 13 in the German album charts, and with Nothing But Wild (2019) the band reached the top 10 in Germany. Early in their career THE NEW ROSES were able to attract international attention when their song "Without a Trace" was heard on the cult US series Sons of Anarchy. Over the years they have established themselves as a permanent and popular fixture on international rock radio, but their indomitable rock'n'roll energy is best experienced live. Not only were they the first German band to perform on the KISS Kruise in 2018 and 2019, they also supported the rock icons at their Germany shows. They have also shared the stage with other impressive genre greats, such as the legendary Aerosmith, Foreigner and the German hard rock veterans Scorpions. In 2023 they welcomed guitarist Norman Bites back into their ranks and united as a quintet, THE NEW ROSES are undoubtedly on their way to the top of hard rock!

Their new work, Attracted To Danger, begins with the catchy and classic opener "When You Fall In Love", which gives a taste of everything the album has to offer: timeless melodies, rousing hooks and a rebellious spirit of freedom that drives the rock anthems forward. The title track "Attracted To Danger" is one of the absolute highlights of the tracklist and captivates with an anthemic chorus of blaring guitars that culminate in a breathtaking guitar solo, while this sound is crowned by Timmy Rough's impressive vocals. Overall, THE NEW ROSES present a harder and rougher side of themselves on their new album, which is particularly evident in the pounding "Four Wheels" with its hard riffs, but also in the closing track "Whiskey In The Backseat", whose heavy melody runs down your throat like strong whiskey being sung about. At the same time, the quintet remains true to its typical sound and delivers timeless hard rock anthems such as "Bring The Thunder", which unleashes a fiery energy, or "This Heart", in which Timmy Rough presents the full range of his singing skills, while "Spirit Of A Rebel" creates a lighter atmosphere and invites you to celebrate life together. And yet there is room for quieter and emotional sounds, as in "Natural Born Vagabonds", which creates an authentic campfire atmosphere. The romantic side of THE NEW ROSES often manifests itself in the lyrics and reaches its climax in the deeply moving "Hold Me Up". This song is a duet with Scottish singer Gill Montgomery (known from The Hot Damn and The Amorettes), whose gentle voice combines with Timmy's rough timbre to form an emotionally charged masterpiece of a rock ballad. The album is rounded off by a cover version of Neil Young's legendary hit "Rockin' In The Free World", which the band wraps in their typical sound and thus once again claims their rightful place in the upper echelons of the international hard rock scene!
