This new album delivers pure, raw, classic heavy metal--exactly the kind the band has loved and celebrated all their lives.
No unnecessary borrowing from modern metal styles; other bands are already doing plenty of that.
It is not a concept album.
Each song stands on its own.
The music follows in the tradition of Motörhead, Saxon, and similar bands.
Not old-fashioned, but simply timeless and honest.
Unlike previous albums, I (vocalist Thomas) drew only on my own experiences and things close to my heart.
Every song is based on an actual event or a deeply felt wish. One example is the song "Bloodline," an anti-war track.
It is a plea to put an end to all this war-related madness.
In my opinion, these are the best lyrics I have ever written.
The only song without a real backstory is "Demolator." It's about an evil monster that destroys everything.
But in a way, that song is still a part of me.
After we decided to give the band a new name, our guitarist Jürgen Föry and I began writing new songs for it.
So, all the songs were written by Jürgen Föry and Thomas Zeller.
Now that everything has gone so well--with Massacre Records backing us--future songwriting will be a collaborative effort involving the whole band.
The timing couldn't be better; after all, we'll be celebrating our 40th anniversary in 2026. The reason for the reunion was the many fans who tirelessly urged us to do it, as well as, of course, our own sincere desire to continue writing this chapter.
Everything still works just as it used to, but it sounds more mature, well-considered, and intelligent. It would be a bad thing if that weren't the case.
The sound is also excellent--significantly better than on the old productions.
In the past, we mostly worked with people who came from a different musical genre.
