Description

Deluxe re-release of the legendary Keith Richards solo debut as CD, Deluxe 2CD, vinyl, and limited box set!

In 1988 Keith Richards released his first solo album. It all started in 1986, when Keith Richards became more and more restless. The Rolling Stones were not active, for Keith a time to forget. He had worked with drummer Steve Jordan on the Chuck Berry film Hail, Hail Rock n Roll and was looking for another challenge. He had never thought of a solo album and admitted to having been pushed into the studio at first.

One of the first songs he recorded was the explosive Take It So Hard, a tight yet loose classic that illustrates why Keith Richards is called the "human riff". The recordings were later made on Montserrat,
Bermuda and other studios with guest musicians such as Sarah Dash, Bootsy Collins, Maceo Parker, The Memphis Horns, Patti Sciafia and Mick Taylor.

The new Deluxe Set features six bonus tracks, four of them with pianist Johnnie Johnson, including Eddie Taylor's Big Town Playboy , Blues Jam Slim and Jimmy Reed's My Babe. The Super Deluxe Box offers two CDs, two LPs, two
Vinyl singles, memorabilia and an 80-page hardcover book with liner notes by Anthony De Curtis describing the history of the production and the influence of the album.
