Bonamassa, Joe A New Day Now (20th Anniversary)

Joe Bonamassa has always been a huge fan of legendary producer Tom Dowd, whose discography is a veritable 'Who's Who' of superstars in the blues, soul and rock genres. Obviously Joe was thrilled when Dowd took the job to produce Bonamassa's first solo album 20 years ago. In the course of time, however, Joe's vocal style in particular has changed enormously. From a youthful shouter, Joe developed into a mature and soulful singer, and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of "A New Day Yesterday", Bonamassa came up with something special. He re-recorded the album from scratch without losing the original vibe of the album. Three bonus tracks from that time were added, and "A New Day Now - 20th Anniversary" was the fitting title for the album.
