World famous American rock band Huey Lewis and The News , known for big hits like "The Power of Love," released their ninth studio album "Soulsville" in 2010 as a tribute to the influential music of Stax Records. This American record label, originally based in Memphis, Tennessee, was influential in the creation of Southern Soul and Memphis Soul music and included stars such as Otis Redding. The album features 14 Stax cover versions, and the track "Respect Yourself" is a duet with American gospel singer Dorothy Combs Morrison, known for her lead vocals on the Edwin Hawkin Singers classic "Oh Happy Day."
Soulsville, which reached #15 on the U.S. Independent Album Chart upon its original release, will now be available in a repackaged and upgraded digipak format.
