The rock music of Focus is enriched with different styles. The origins of jazz and the classical training of the musicians come to light in many pieces. The music is full of set pieces, quotations and arrangements by classical composers such as Joseph Haydn, Johanne
s Brahms and Béla Bartók. There are allusions to Gregorian chant, folk music, baroque music, funk and Far Eastern music.

Cherry Red Records now releases the eleventh studio album of the Dutch progressive rock band. The line-up to this album: Sir Thijs Van Leer (keyboard, flute, vocals), Pierre Van Der Linden (drums), Udo Pannekeet (bass) and Menno Gotjes (guitar). "11" is Focus's first new album in six years and is released as a sixfold folding digipak with great artwork by Roger Dean. A must for all progressive rock and focus fans!
