Blindstone Scars To Remember

BLINDSTONE are proud to announce new album Scars To Remember. After two decades of being the best kept secret within the heavy side of blues rock as part of the 'closed' blues scene, the band now transitions to Mighty Music and are finally getting the recognition they deserve. "Scars To Remember" is the tenth album by the Danish-born blues power trio, which has its stylistic roots in the late 60's and 70's and features bands/artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and others. Founded more than two decades ago and playing countless concerts in those years, Blindstone became a huge success in the US because of their sound and released most of their albums on the American label Grooveyard Records. Despite the length of time, the band experienced a turning point in their career when they were hired as backing band for blues legend Walter Trout for a series of successful concerts in Denmark in 2020. This experience was a factor that inspired the band to take a slightly more direct and simple stylistic approach on their new album. The blues influence is particularly evident in songs like "Down For The Count", "Waste Your Time" and "World Weary Blues". Blindstone have always worn their influences on their sleeves, and "Scars To Remember" indeed contains obvious nods to influences like Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, Trout, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Gales, Jeff Healey and more.
