Cher was one of the most popular singers of the 60s and early 70s. In the mid 70's she was looking for a new musical direction. Inspired by a relationship with guitarist Les Dudek, they formed the melodic hard rock band Black Rose. Other band members were Gary Ferguson (Chanel and later with Gary Moore), Ron Ritchotte (Top Session Player), Trey Thompson (Chanel), Mike Finnigan (played with Jimi Hendrix), and Warren Ham (Bloodrock).
