Where others are still lost in colored descriptions, the band has already engaged the next gear and plays with full power in the middle of "Heart Of The Hurricane". The title of the third album is Status Quo and 2018 is the year in which Jennifer Haben's young band explores the extremes of style: On the one hand, the hardness screws are tightened again by various turns, on the other hand, an unprecedented catchiness in this form is mastered.

Beyond The Black follow their unmistakable sense for gripping melodies, all pulverizing blastbeats, rousing neck-breaker riffs, epic keyboard passages as well as elaborately arranged strings and choir movements. With a dark and atmospheric harshness ("Through The Mirror", "My God Is Dead") the band spans the stylistic arc over their distinctive Metal-meets-Medieval-Sound ("Scream For Me", "Song For The Godless") up to the bittersweet acoustic ballad "Breeze". With the enormous mix of elf-like vocals and deep throaty growls, a bombastic wide-wall production is created - from the heart to the fingers or "from the heart to the vocal cords", as singer Jennifer laughingly describes it.
