"A Woman's Diary - Chapter II" is a musical, autobiographical portrait of Helena Iren Michaelsen's life. All songs and texts are personal, raw and uncensored. The songs take the listener on an emotional journey: There are songs that will touch the listener deeply, while others are thought-provoking or have a clear message.
Helena Iren Michaelsen about the album: "We all know that life has its ups and downs. There is love and happiness, disappointments and anger, misery and injustice and so much more. Many people don't dare to talk about certain things in their lives because they are afraid of being labelled in some way, becoming the victim of rumours or being condemned in some other way. I have nothing to hide and I discuss everything openly and honestly. I dare to be myself, no matter what other people think about it. This album gives a good insight into who I am - not only as an artist but also as the woman behind it. The lyrics are about my life and the things that happened to me. Some of the songs I wrote when I was 12 years old, so it's something special for me that they are now on this album.
Producer Oliver Philipps breathed life into the ideas of Helena, because he knew - also because of the close and special artistic connection between the two - how the music and the lyrics form a perfect symbiosis.
