Urgency, authenticity and integrity have never been a problem for MADBALL, New York City's toughest and hardest working band. After twenty-five years between studios and stages, MB are now raising their ninth capital and releasing "For The Cause"; a collection full of heroic, groove-loaded, street-level New York hardcore songs that only MADBALL can bring.
In the years of their work, MADBALL's mission had been consistently demonstrated: To bring out something that is simple in a way and yet deserves its rightful success. For The Cause" also marks the return of guitarist Matt Henderson, who was last heard on "Hold It Down" (2000) and also acted as producer for the new album.
Unique to this album is the brilliant production of RANCID's Tim Armstrong, which expressed MADBALL's unmistakable sound powerfully and dynamically, without trampling the typical trademark of the band that they have always carried with them, yet constantly striving for further development.
