Description
Tom Morello is probably the best living proof of the all changing power of rock 'n' roll. The American guitar legend has always pushed the boundaries of what is possible on six strings. As co-founder of Rage Against The Machine , Audioslave and Prophets Of Rage , or through his top-class collaborations with greats from Bruce Springsteen to Johnny Cash , Morello is clearly one of the greats.
On his new album he has succeeded in steering his immediately recognizable guitar sound with influences from EDM and HipHop into unexpected, surprising paths and to merge on the most spectacular project of his music career to date to a compact unit.
On The Atlas Underground he now enters a completely new musical territory together with high-calibre guests: Thus, there are well-known colleagues like Marcus Mumford, Portugal. The Man , Bassnectar , the two Wu-Tang Clan members RZA and GZA , Vic Mensa , K. Flay , Big Boi , Gary Clark Jr. , Pretty Lights , Killer Mike , Steve Aoki , Whethan and many others on the album again. The riffs and beats have in a way marked out the stylistic path, but the incredible talent of each and every one of my guests was able to make my creativity even better. Morello on the BMG release on 12th October.
