Eight years after their predecessor "Direct Action" (2010), the legendary British alternative rock band The Alarm is releasing their new album "Equals"!
After several serious illnesses of singer Mike Peters and his wife Jules (piano, background vocals) in the last years, The Alarm are back in top form. The new album "Equals" was produced by George Williams, who already participated in the 2005 album "Under Attack", and immediately begins with two epic rock numbers, including the first single "Beautiful", which symbolises the couple's new will to live. The recordings feature prominent musicians from the UK alternative/post-punk scene such as Steve "Smiley" Barnard (drummer of Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros) and James Stevenson (guitarist with Chelsea, Gen X, The Cult), and The Cult guitarist Billy Duffy gives a guest feature on "Coming Backwards".
Mike Peters: "The endgame of any creative period is always the last few years has shaken The Alarm's world to its core but we have survived the challenges and are now ready for the next steps, which is performing the music live with our fans adding to the experience. Myself and the band are primed and ready to give everything we have to make this year a life affirming experience for all our fans."
