Description
Blues is a collection of rare and unreleased recordings of Rory Gallagher's favourite blues songs. The album features tracks never heard before, guest sessions with legendary blues artists like Muddy Waters and Albert King, and lost radio sessions with Rory's passion for the blues during his solo career from 1971 to 1994.
Blues formats include a 1CD & 2LP version with 16 tracks each, as well as an extensive 3CD deluxe version with 36 tracks, showing Rory's virtuoso performances of electric, acoustic and live blues. The deluxe version contains 90% unreleased material and performances with music legends such as Muddy Waters, Albert King, Jack Bruce, Lonnie Donegan and Chris Barber. In addition, the deluxe version comes with an extensive booklet with never-before-seen images of Rory and a new essay by award-winning blues/rock author Jas Obrecht.
