Featurings songs written by Paul Laine (Trooper, Danger, Danger ) Robby Valentine (Valentine)
Zinatra was a Dutch Hard-Rock-AOR Band . For their second album, during a demo session they were introduced to keyboard player Robbie Valentine, who was asked by the band's management to become their new band member. A bit of a strange situation, as neither the guys in Zinatra nor Valentine himself were informed of this beforehand! Anyway, Robbie became an important songwriter and although he has always stayed a bit of an outsider, he had quite some impact on the material. Next to that, producer Erwin Musper came up with four songs of Paul Laine (who just have a big success with his solo album Stick It at Your Ear produced by Bruce Fairbairn), which resulted in a pleasant mix of quality material for what was to become the band's second album "The Great Escape", which hit the streets in the spring of 1990. First single became "There She Was". ZINATRA have come up with a very good record of European-style hard FM. Compared to its predecessor, The Great Escape is more mature, but also more incisive. As well as being inspired, the band's musicians have shown that they are masters of their instruments, particularly guitarist Gino Rerimassie, who has nothing to envy the best in the genre...
