After a turbulent period of emotional beatings, during which the majority of the band faced new life scenarios, the new album is rooted in reflection and redemption, and sees You Me At Six using these darker experiences as a catalyst for creativity, empowerment and positivity. "Suckapunch" was recorded over five weeks at Karma Sound Studio in Bang Saray and continues the creative relationship with producer Dan Austin (Biffy Clyro, Massive Attack, Pixies). The result is full of ambitious ideas and exciting influences from electronic music, hip-hop and R&B. Some of the songs enter completely new territory or turn rock music upside down. "Suckapunch" is full of surprises and celebrates change. With it, You Me at Six have produced their most experimental, personal and progressive album to date.
