"Charismatic Leaders" is the third studio album and InsideOutMusic debut by Finnish progressive metallers Wheel from Helsinki, Finland. Since their inception in 2015, Wheel have quickly evolved from underdogs to an international tour de force. The trio's edgy riffs, unforgettable melodies and adventurous range on their debut album "Moving Backwards" (2019) were spontaneously adored by fans of megastars from TOOL to COHEED & CAMBRIA. The follow-up, "Resident Human" (2021), received rave reviews from media outlets around the world, praising its tonal evolution and bold dystopian themes. "Charismatic Leaders" was meticulously crafted to meet Wheel's ever-higher standards, with songwriting dating back to 2020 and recording spanning August to December 2023. "This is our heavy album," explains Lascelles. "For the people who like metal and are into wheel music, it's right up your alley. It's not that we've become a caricature of the previous albums, but we've definitely moved in a metal direction, and we wanted to make a metal album."
