2013, The follow-up to 2010's FLUKE?, hard-rockers Voodoo Six's third album, SONGS TO INVADE COUNTRIES TO takes all of the swagger their second album brought and adds a whole lot more. A collection of raw, self-assured hard rock, splashed with Jimi Hendrix-type blues, earns them associations to Led Zeppelin and high praisers, Iron Maiden. That's not to say Voodoo Six are their predecessors and nothing more though. Associations stay at just that. SONGS TO INVADE COUNTRIES TO, although only the band's third album, has an air of maturity about it that many bands tend to lack these days and it's in the opening track, ,,Falling Knives" as well as ,,Higher Ground" that this maturity really shines through. Perfectly formed and chock-a-block with enticing vocals and blistering guitar solos, SONGS TO INVADE COUNTRIES TO is an album you'll immediately fall in love with.
